With John speaking up for the East End in Holyrood three days a week, his team of staff continue to deal with the high volume of letters, phone calls, emails and constituents visiting the office.  Currently working in the Glasgow Shettleston Parliamentary Office are:

Anne McGlinchey, Office Manager

Originally from Duntocher, Anne joined the team in August 2011, having previously worked at the British Embassy in Paris as the PA to the Counsellor of Europe.

Full-time and based in in the Constituency Office Monday to Friday, Anne is responsible for the day-to-day running of the office and deals with casework, John’s diary and general administrative matters. In her spare time, Anne enjoys learning new languages and spending time with her family.  She has recently obtained a languages degree via the Open University and is fluent in French and German.

Craig Horne, Parliamentary Officer

Craig joined the office in 2019, initially supporting casework and constituency matters. Following John’s re-election in 2021, he moved into the role of Parliamentary Officer, where he now leads on public affairs, communications and stakeholder engagement.

With over six years experience in parliamentary settings, Craig provides strategic advice on a wide range of issues, with a particular focus on public finance and government policy. His responsibilities include drafting speeches and media communications, coordinating engagement with civic and third sector organisations and supporting constituents on matters related to parliamentary business.

Craig is a Member of the Chartered Institute of Public Relations (MCIPR) and holds numerous further training certificates in strategic communication, public policy and ethics in government. He is based in the constituency office four days a week and spends one day at the Scottish Parliament.

Outside of work, Craig is an avid music fan and follows Scottish football closely.
