John’s Team

With John speaking up for the East End in Holyrood three days a week, his team of staff continue to deal with the high volume of letters, phone calls, emails and constituents visiting the office.  Currently working in the Glasgow Shettleston Parliamentary Office are:


Anne McGlinchey, Office Administrator

Originally from Duntocher, Anne joined the team in August 2011, having previously worked at the British Embassy in Paris as the PA to the Counsellor of Europe.

Full-time and based in in the Constituency Office Monday to Friday, Anne is responsible for the day-to-day running of the office and deals with casework, John’s diary and general administrative matters. In her spare time, Anne enjoys learning new languages and spending time with her family.  She has recently obtained a languages degree via the Open University and is fluent in French and German.

Myra

Myra Green, Constituency Assistant

Myra joined the office in February 2012.  Myra previously worked for the Student Loans Company and prior to that as a Legal Secretary for Fielding McLean & Co.

Myra is based in the Constituency Office Monday to Friday and is the primary point of contact for constituents visiting and telephoning the office.  She is responsible for office administration and constituency casework.

In her spare time Myra enjoys spending time with friends and family as well as travelling.

Adam Mathers, Parliamentary Officer

Adam joined the office in February 2019, having previously spent two years working in the renewable energy sector. Adam holds Master’s degrees in Sustainable Development, and Wind Power Project Management.

Adam is based in the Constituency Office on most days and is normally available through the office telephone or by email. He is responsible for  political matters, media enquiries and conducting casework.

Outwith work, Adam spends his time hiking, kayaking, playing music and reading.
