That the Parliament notes the reported theft of metal from the roof of Wellshot Primary School in Tollcross in Glasgow on 6 January 2015; further notes that the cost of repairing the damage has been reported to potentially reach tens of thousands of pounds; understands that this theft led to the 286 pupils being sent home due to resultant flooding; further understands that this will have caused disruption for the pupils, parents and staff members involved; expresses dismay at what it considers this thoughtless crime, and believes that this incident highlights the fact that metal theft can never be considered a victimless crime.
