Motion S4M-10061: International Conscientious Objectors’ Day (15th May)

15 May 2014

That the Parliament notes International Conscientious Objectors’ Day on 15 May; pays tribute to all efforts made to avert conflict and war; pays particular tribute to individuals who have stood for peace in the face of state persecution; considers that the treatment of those people by the state has often been unjust, such as in the context of the tragedy that was the First World War, and hopes that the lessons of the past will never be forgotten.
