John Mason is delighted to see that Calvay Housing Association is being awarded £69,000 grant from the Climate Challenge Fund (CCF).
With this funding Calvay will run its Calvay Energy Efficiency project to install insulation and motion sensor controlled lighting at the Calvay Centre. This should help reduce energy bills and carbon emissions.
In a letter to John, Paul Wheelhouse Minister for Environment and Climate Change, says, “There is still nearly £11 million available for future projects. Applications are invited for presentation to the CCF Grant Panel in March 2014. Further details can be found at www.keepscotlandbeautiful.org/ccf.”
John Mason hopes that more local groups will be able to benefit from this Fund.
