Title: Another Rise in the Living Wage

Motion Text:
That the Parliament welcomes that news that the living wage, which is voluntary, is set to rise by 20p to £7.85 per hour; notes that the living wage will now be 21% higher than the compulsory national minimum wage, which is set at £6.50 per hour; believes with disappointment that the minimum wage is too low to offset the cost of living, and calls on the living wage to be made statutory, as it considers that this would help greatly in the campaign to tackle pay inequality.
