Title: The 2014 Bank of Scotland Great Scottish Run

Motion Text:
That the Parliament notes the success of the 2014 Bank of Scotland Great Scottish Run, which took place in Glasgow on 5 October 2014; commends the organisers of the event which, for the first time ever, received the International Association of Athletics Federation’s gold label standard, the only such accredited race in Scotland; congratulates the winners and participants who took to the streets of Glasgow for the run, many of whom raised hundreds of thousands of pounds for good causes, and considers that the Great Scottish Run is the latest successful sporting event to take place in Glasgow in 2014.
