East End MSP, John Mason, today (Monday) took part in the MacMillan Big Coffee Morning at Playbusters, Parkhead.
The Shettleston MSP has previously hosted a MacMillan coffee morning himself and last Monday also attended one in Mallaig. He commended both events for the tremendous quality of their home baking. John said that the fundraising event is a timely reminder of how serious cancer is and the importance of funding research to find a cure for the disease.
Commenting on Monday, John Mason MSP said:
“I know that a considerable number of constituents have personal experience of the problems a cancer diagnosis can bring to both patients and their family, and I know that MacMillan has been there to support many of those in need, therefore I was delighted to be able to support this cause.
“The Big Coffee Morning is a fun and easy way to raise money to help MacMillan be there for people with cancer and their families when they need them most. If anyone is keen to support MacMillan with the Big Coffee Morning, they should visit the MacMillan website at http://coffee.macmillan.org.uk”.
