S4M-06849 John Mason (Glasgow Shettleston) (Scottish National Party):  That the Parliament welcomes the publication of the most recent Glasgow 2014 progress report; considers that, with just over one year until the Games formally open, building works and general preparations have progressed significantly; welcomes the opening of the new Tollcross International Swimming Centre on 24 May 2013 and the fact that the National Hockey Centre, based at Glasgow Green, is due to open in the summer of 2013; notes that more than 75% of the Athletes’ Village, which includes 700 houses and a 120-bed care home, has been built, and looks forward to the 2014 Games continuing to be on budget and on time for showcasing Glasgow and Scotland to the rest of the world.
