S4M-03784 John Mason (Glasgow Shettleston) (Scottish National Party): That the Parliament understands that on 11 August 2012 the World Pipe Band Championships return to its heartland in Glasgow Green for what it believes will be a tremendous day that will showcase the very best of piping and traditional Scottish dancing; welcomes the associated events in the week leading up to the main competition; notes that some 235 bands will compete at the annual event, which it considers has become a major part of the fabric of Glasgow, and sends good wishes to all of the bands taking part.
