EAST END MSP VISITS COMMUNITY TRANSPORT

02 Jul 2012

Scottish National Party MSP for Glasgow Shettleston, John Mason, recently visited Community Transport Glasgow. Community Transport Glasgow was established in 2004 and its aim is to develop, support and deliver high quality and reliable transport to communities across the East. A lot of its services are free or low cost and the East End MSP is encouraging constituents to find out more about Community Transport.

Speaking after his recent visit, John Mason MSP commented: “Community Transport Glasgow is an excellent charity and helps many people in our community. This charity gives free transport to hospitals for the elderly. It really is free, so I would encourage constituents to give them a ring on 778 2042.

“I understand Community Transport Glasgow offers group transport, which provides transport to non-profit making organisations within the City.

“Community Transport Glasgow is a fantastic service which, sadly, doesn’t get the praise and credit it deserves. They are a superb organisation and I would encourage constituents, local groups and particularly the elderly to learn more about their work.”
